Penticton Home Hardware Building Center is a proud community sponsor. We have made a longstanding commitment to share our time and resources to making a lasting positive impact in the lives of youth, seniors and the less fortunate members of our community. We’ve partnered with various local organizations that work tirelessly on behalf of our community and residents.
We have been a supporter of the Apex Snow School at our local ski hill, Apex Mountain Resort for 15+ years. In addition, we’ve committed volunteers and donations to events that support the Okanagan Similkameen Neurological Society Child and Youth Development Center (OSNS). We continuously sponsor ongoing food initiatives for children in our community through the Starfish Pack program, and partnered with the Community Foundation of the South Okanagan Similkameen in support of the Yes Project funding the development of the Penticton Youth Center and the many resources that facility will provide to support youth in our community.
We’ve also committed to supporting the South Okanagan Women in Need Society (SOWINS) through fundraising events and donations in order to support women and children coming from abusive circumstances by donating to the organization and providing basic necessities such as food and clothing to the single parent families in need during the holiday season.
Another organization that we’ve contributed to through donations and support of fundraising events is the South Okanagan Medical Foundation, primarily to the new hospital tower campaign providing medical equipment for the expansion.
Additionally we provide space for various local youth athletic groups and other groups that align with our areas of focus above to fundraise on site.
We are a proud supporter of Penticton’s favorite hockey team, the Penticton Vees, and have partnered with them on game sponsorships and events throughout the year in addition to awarding a $1000 bursary attached to an academic award each year to a team member that is moving on to advance their education.
Kind Words
I just wanted to send you a quick note about the experience I had at your store. On January 16th, I went in to look at new appliances for my very long awaited kitchen remodel, and was helped by your employee Horst. What a pleasure he was to deal with! I ended up purchasing a fridge, stove, dishwasher and range hood. He was very knowledgeable and I was very happy with the pricing – I knew I didn’t need to look elsewhere. On Wednesday the appliances were delivered by two very pleasant gentlemen also. It took a few days before I was able to install the fridge and when I opened it (finally) the inside of the fridge was dented – I went back to see Horst and showed him pictures and he is replacing it without any problem at all (the new one will be delivered tomorrow). I should add that the fridge was still in the box intact and totally fine on the outside so it wasn’t a delivery issue. Kudos to your employees!
The Survivorship Dragon Boat team would like to thank you very much for your generous donation of a folding wagon. It will certainly be put to good use by our team. Thank you for your support of our team.
Thank you very much for your generous donation. Our new shed is fantastic. Our players and coaches will enjoy it for many years to come!
Just a quick note to thank you for your generous contribution to our 4th annual golf tourney. The event was a smashing success!
Thank you for your generosity in supporting the Academic Excellence Bursary award for the Penticton Vees Jr Hockey Club. I am honoured to be the first recipient of the scholarship. I think what you have done in setting up the fund is very cool as it will go along way for student athletes like myself in the future. Thank you to you, and the Penticton Home Hardware Building Centre for your generosity and your support in achieving my goals as a student athlete.
We can’t thank you enough for providing soil, flowers and your wonderful staff; Hanna, Dale and Maureen for Spring Garden Days as OSNS! The children loved it and now have their very own planters to love and care for. You are always very supportive of OSNS and we truly value your generosity! On behalf of all the staff, children and families at the Centre, THANK YOU!
We would like to thank you and your staff for hosting a School District 67 Okanagan Skaha Work Experience student, during the past semester. Your participation and continued support of our students provides them with a unique educational experience. This opportunity contributes to the development of an individual career plan and the skills and knowledge gained by the student is invaluable.
